We're about done buying Christmas gifts, so I've been allowing myself to peruse the internet for things that we need. For instance, I'd really like some chairs to go with my dining room table, to replace the ones we tossed in the move. We're using Mike & Mandy's dining set right now, and it's gorgeous and we love it, but it's bar height and only has 4 dedicated chairs. They also have two wooden stools that we can use in a pinch, but it still leaves us with 6 chairs.
I have a big family and when we get together, it's almost always more than 6. Like yesterday, my family came over for brunch and there were 8 of us. I had to set up our domino table as an extra table, and it was like 2 feet lower than the bar table. It made for really awkward conversations and lots of "How's the weather up there?" jokes from my brother who was seated at the "Little, little kids table". LOL.
We've thought about buying more bar height chairs, and that was actually our Plan A, but my mom pointed out that we'd be investing in chairs that we probably won't be able to use once we move out of Mandy & Mike's. So Plan B is to buy chairs for our table and store the one we're currently using.
Well I fell in LOVE, with these:
I die for the studs! I really love the wing backs as head chairs and then the parson style ones for the sides.
They were on sale last week, and six chairs would have cost a little over $400, which I couldn't comfortably afford at the time (more to come on why). I wanted to wait until my next paycheck just to be sure. Well, that turned out to be a bad idea because this week, they're $640. I just can't imagine spending that much on chairs from Target. I just can't. But I keep going back to the website and staring at them.
This is the third or fourth time that I've missed out on a sale price because my pay period didn't coincide with the sale dates. So frustrating. It leaves me having to look for something else that's similar but not exactly the ones I wanted.
Uuuuuuuuuuugh, but I love these chaaaaaaaaaairs.
Plan C SUCKS.
Have you ever been torn because something you really wanted was juuuuuuust out of your max price range?
